Congratulations to the recent graduates of the Airport Operations Diploma Program! Over 45 participants from various airports worldwide completed the 45-hour diploma program with flying colours. Feedback from our Students

Andrea Dobson works for East Kimberley Regional Airport as the Aerodrome Reporting & Security Officer. She wanted to further her operations knowledge with the view of promoting her career. She particularly enjoyed the de-icing and snow management chapters, as this was something very unfamiliar to her. During the airport’s winter operations, temperatures do not fall below 26 degrees (about 78 Fahrenheit)!

“Invest in your future and learn from industry leaders. The courses I have done have been informative and educational and I am sure they will help me advance my chosen career path in aviation.”

Andrea Dobson, Aerodrome Reporting & Security Officer, East Kimberley Regional Airport.

“Topics, such as business development, gave an overall airport perspective and design issues were greatly appreciated and useful eye-openers. Emergency preparation awareness gave me a greater appreciation for those of my colleagues most closely connected to the aviation industry and an inspiration to use my architectural training to become more involved in the planning/design”

Sara Saxton Chirinos, Architect, Airport Planning,
Swedavia Airports.

Laura Nicholls is the Risk and Resilience Manager at Brisbane Airport. Laura is new to the industry therefore having a solid foundational knowledge across core operational aspects of this environment has enabled her to tailor her approach in stakeholder consultation and program delivery. Laura enjoyed the Airside Operations module the most, the clear articulation of the technical aspects of this type of operational environment made the module relevant and practical.

“My role requires me to understand all aspects of aviation/airport operations. The content of the course provided me with an opportunity to gain and cement my knowledge across core operational aspects and build on this in a practical way.”

Laura Nicholls, Risk & Resilience Manager, Brisbane Airport.
